The Pol­icy & Issues VIRTUAL Forum (P&I) is THE largest gath­er­ing of health cen­ter clin­i­cians, exec­u­tive direc­tors, State and Regional Pri­mary Care part­ners, board mem­bers and advo­cates on record. This event focuses on the lat­est in state and fed­eral gov­ern­ment poli­cies affect­ing Com­mu­nity Health Cen­ters and health care for mil­lions of Amer­i­cans. Our mission is to promote communication, collaboration, and education in order to facilitate high quality and comprehensive home and community-based health services to the residents of the State of Delaware. The Delaware Association for Home & Community Care is the only association in Delaware for Home Health / Home Care Agencies. We are dedicated to the quality of home health care services for residents of the State of Delaware.

She currently serves on the Enhanced Recovery After Cardiac Surgery Advisory Board, the Society of Thoracic Surgery Multidisciplinary Education Committee, the American College of Chest Physicians Education Committee, and the board of the Atlanta AACN Chapter. She is second editor of the past five editions of the book Introduction to Critical Care Nursing which was the recipient of an American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year Award. Ms. Klein has received several honors throughout her career including induction as a Fellow in the American Heart Association and as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. In this session, attendees will receive updates on policy and advocacy efforts at the federal level. Additional important information will be shared on the Home Health Proposed Rule, the Choose Home Care Act of 2021, NAHC’s request to CMS to continue to allow nurses to certify Home Health, the Home Modification for Accessibility Act, hospice updates and more. The Illinois Home Care and Hospice Council invites home care and hospice industry leaders every year to celebrate and honor all the great work and commitment that has been accomplished in the industry. As you celebrate, have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the latest information, connect and learn from others. If you are an executive, administrator, manager, or allied health professional working in-home care, hospice, and/or palliative care settings in the New York area, the HCA Annual Conference is an event you do not want to miss. You will be able network, learn, and engage with industry influencers and key leaders. In addition, to these major national conferences, there are many state and local conferences that are educational, and more convenient if you can’t make travel time. With over 35 state chapters, NADONA LTC continues to be the largest organization representing nurses working in long-term care settings such as assisted living, skilled nursing, mentally challenged/ developmentally disabled, and rehabilitation facilities. Guests staying overnight in the Renaissance Waverly will pay $15 per night for parking. Day parking for attendees not staying overnight is $15 per day for parking. A parking tag will be given by front desk for overnight guests and given by the attendant outside during arrival hours for day parking.

Ms. Klein is active both locally and nationally in professional organizations, including the American Heart Association and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, where she has served on the Board of Directors and on the Certification Corporation Board of Directors. She has presented at numerous conferences nationally and internationally including serving as Co-Director, Annual Primary Care Update for Nurses , US Department of State. Ms. Klein has served on editorial boards of several critical care nursing journals and has published extensively on critical care topics and CNS practice in peer-reviewed journals.

Megan Tomas, PharmD is a 2015 graduate of the Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Pharmacy. She is a clinical pharmacist at University of Maryland Medical Center and has experience with treating acute care, critical care, and pediatric patients, as well as a special interest in psychopharmacology. Seferina Kim, PharmD, BCPS is a 2009 graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Pharmacy and has worked in a variety of specialties including adult internal medicine, oncology, transitional care, and ambulatory care. She currently is clinical staff for the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy with a primary site at the outpatient Medication Therapy Management Clinic at the University of Maryland Medical Center where she precepts pharmacy doctoral candidates and pharmacy and medical residents. Dr. Kim also serves on an Intimate Partner Violence Collaborative at UMB and is a member of a variety of committees addressing issues of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at both institutions. Ms. Zellinger has presented at numerous conferences on a national level including the AACN NTI’s, the Scientific Sessions at the AHA, the Society of Thoracic Surgery annual conferences, and the American Cardiology Conferences.
